Board of Directors: Stephen McCray

Steve McCray has been a business attorney with Hoge, Fenton, Jones & Appel in San Jose since 1979 after receiving his A.B. (political science) from Stanford University, M.A. (journalism) from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and J.D. (summa cum laude) from the University of Santa Clara.  He has served as chair of the Santa Clara County Bar Association’s business law executive committee and on its real property executive committee.

McCray has served on many area boards and commissions over the years, including the San Jose Arts Commission, which he chaired from 2005-07; the Airport Art Program Oversight Committee, which he chaired from 2004-07; the boards of directors of the Volunteer Exchange of Santa Clara Valley (now Volunteer Center of Silicon Valley), Nonprofit Development Center (now CompassPoint Nonprofit Services), InnVision the Way Home, Farrington Historical Foundation, and the San Jose North Rotary Club; and the Bellarmine College Preparatory faculty and student life committee. 

He is married to Ann Hurst, the managing director of Children's Musical Theater San Jose. They have two adult children living on East Coast and reside in Willow Glen.  His interests include classical music, reading, golf, and Laurel and Hardy movies.
