Connie Martinez

Connie has lived in California since 1986, holding several leadership positions within the community including Executive Director of Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose, Director of Strategic Initiatives for University of California Santa Cruz, Vice President for Joint Venture: Silicon Valley Network and Deputy City Manager, Planning Director and General Services Director for the City of Mountain View, CA.

Prior to moving to Silicon Valley, Connie lived in Boulder, Colorado where she developed business plans and marketing strategies for manufacturing companies in the Rocky Mountain region and in Rochester, NY.

Connie is the former board chair and currently on the board of the American Leadership Forum-Silicon Valley, and is a board member of the Monterey Bay Aquarium and the Bring Me A Book Foundation. In addition, she is a member of San Jose Rotary, and the past chair of the San Jose Arts & Culture Roundtable

Connie has a BS in Finance and an MBA in Information Systems from the University of Colorado. Connie enjoys modern art, white water rafting and spending time with her grandsons, Aaron and Noah.
