Erika Justis
Director of Creative Place

Erika Justis joined 1stACT Silicon Valley as its first full-time employee in March 2006. Erika worked with 1stACT's six Founders to develop four initiatives, which support the development of creative experiences and environments in Silicon Valley. The initiatives and the diverse network of leaders supporting them garnered the seed funding required to establish 1stACT as a formal organization in September 2007. As Director of Creative Place, Erika is now leading the implementation of 1stACT's vision for Downtown San Jose as Silicon Valley's City Center using a framework of "big deals" and "small wonders" across five planning domains. Previously, Erika worked as a development and residency manager at Montalvo Arts Center and the Lucas Artists Programs and she loves to ski.
