Key Milestones to Date:

• Initial conceptualization of Multicultural Arts Leadership Initiative  (MALI) in the summer of 2005
• genARTS steering committee formed in August of 2007
• Announcement of inaugural MALI class in December of 2007
• Began research project for Silicon Valley arts ecosystem in September of 2008
• First MALI class graduates in December of 2008
• Hired Michael Miller, former CEO of American Musical Theater of San Jose (AMT), following its closing on a contract basis to help re-distribute former board members and donors back into the arts community in January of 2009.
• Announcement of second MALI class in January of 2009
• Formed Communications Catalyst Team and kicked-off development of region-wide arts message platform in January of 2009
